Deep Cuts The Knife

Well, today is the day that for some is not a very happy day; for others it is fantastic. Really there is no other news or story for me to talk about today so I wont. I, like you, will be waiting to see who the new players are on this great team we call The Saskatchewan Roughriders, and who we will have to bid farewell to. I will come back later maybe with my thoughts.

From TSN.ca
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have traded wide receivers Thyron Anderson and Jason French to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for defensive back Tad Kornegay Full Story

For now, all you car guys and gals, here are the pictures I took yesterday out at the Southey Mopar Meet. The pictures are good, not great, as this year (unlike previous ones I have gone to) they had moved most of the cars inside the hockey rink which is not very condusive to picture taking as there was not a lot or room between the cars and my camera is not that great with indoor shots. My goodness there were some amazing vehicles out there! The pictures may not do them justice, so if you are reading this in time ( I believe it goes till 4 P.M. today) and have a chance to go out to Southey, do so as it was well worth the trip.

Here are my top 5. The rest can be found here: Mopar Meet

Today's Lyrics

"When I get lonely, and I'm sure I've had enough

She sends her comfort, comin' in from above"

Glad I am not Eric and Kent today.

Correct. No Vipers a bit of a suprise now that you mention it, I know there are at least 3 in town, maybe they drove out after. As mentioned cool to meet you as well. Dont think I will ever be a color guy, a former player is so much better for that, maybe play by play once Roddy moves on to bigger and better things. I am happy with my current role I really do love just being involved, BOb or Willy need to get sick or have a wedding or something a few times this year, as I really enjoy doing the sideline stuff.

There were 2 and they were in imaculate shape. The one charger R/T had a hemi was #,s matching as well and was one of very few imported to Canada. worth big $$ i bet if it was to hit the Barret Jackson stage. Man I was in total awe of some of the metal out there yesterday.

My brother had 69 Plymouth Satellite Convertable. It was a lovely car. He sold it to our cousin who subsequently rolled and totaled it. He later had a 73 Dodge Charger R/T which could go like stink, but only when the engine was working. I loved those cars, but by the time I was in a position to buy they had all turned into K-Cars

I wanted all of the cars there were there, but could afford none so my friend you are not the only one. K- cars were the scorn of the Auto Industry :-)I think all Charger R/T's went like stink did'nt they.

I started on the air in Weyburn many years ago (all the cool kids worked in Weyburn, right Rod) as a DJ after going to WABC a school in Saskatoon. How I left the station is a story for another day, maybe. :-) From then I started working in bars as a DJ which actually payed way better and I did that for a number of years. Forever ago I started working at Bridge City Speedway in Saskatoon as on of the track announcers and did that for 15-16 years, also did a bit here in Regina at KPS and a few freelance things as well. I have been very lucky to do the things I have done, and I am very greatful to be doing the shows I am now. Still love to give morning radio a shot one day, but been out of the game to long for that i fear. Maybe a guest host one day :-)
