The below is from a message board poster calling themselves “Budha” and the bolded part is what I would like to comment on.
Firstly: I heard the post game show. Justine was right. almost every caller after her said that both quarterbacks had over thrown a lot of receivers in the red zone and it cost the Riders 6 points. I am not sure of your real name Ridergirl, but you may have been one of them. This problem has been their for three years you think that they would have gotten over it by now and improved. They did have not, though it is preseason. The person hosting the show was offended that it was not just a big Rider love in after the game. If you want a call in show with people voicing their opinions let them do it whether you agree with them or not. Otherwise shut the lines down and keep the love in with just the commentators.
That could not be further from the truth. For those that have listened to me over the past three years, I would hope you agree that I always let everyone have their opinion. Of course, along with that I get to have mine. It’s always the way I have run the show and will continue to do so. I, personally, said both QB’s did not have a perfect game and that the receivers had to help them out a bit with some great catches. I will leave it at that, and as always, I thank everyone for calling and listening to the shows I do for CKRM.
Quickly, my thoughts on the cuts in Riderville short and sweet. I was not attached to deeply to anyone that did not make the ball club, and I am looking towards a very competitive and talented team this year. Won’t it be sweet if they can find a way to keep all 4 tailbacks currently on the roster here for the year? And way to go Nathan Hoffart!
Sportsline tonight was, as always, a great show. We had Fred Perry and Terrell Jurineack on and they were very cool. Rod will have more of a breakdown on his blog http://www.rodpedersen.com/ tomorrow, and as soon as it is available I will have it here to listen to. Two quick things that stuck out: Fred said AC is not that mobile of a QB (go get him Fred) and I got confirmation that the rims on his car are in fact 22” not 20” as reported earlier.
Did you know this?

Wide Receivers Coach: Travis Moore
I am still trying to track down T Moore, I am getting closer.
My fellow Motor Sports fans, in case you missed it, fellow Canuck Ron Fellows ended up 15th in the race yesterday from Infinion raceway. Way to go Ron. Although I doubt he will ever get a fulltime ride, Ron during the times he does race in NASCAR, always does us proud, along with his other racing endeavours. I had a chance to have him on a radio show I used to do called Speed Night and he was a VERY kind and humble man. I think I may try to see if I can do a text interview with him via email and post it here down the road.

Nickelback Animal Tracks.
I listen to all the CKRM Rider shows and sometimes I just have to shake my head at some of the callers.
My only complaint on Sportsline is the length of time given to some callers. Discussion is great, but not at the expense of those waiting to get on air.
Pass this on to Roddy will 'ya?

My nickname for Terrell Jurineak would be "The Terminator".I missed most of THE Roundtable Friday!I had to be up for work Saturday so I crashed early but now I wish I would have stayed up for it LOL!All the shows I've listened to including Sportsline imo you have always been fair to let the callers have their opinions as well as voicing yours in response. This includes Roddy and Frenzy. This is what makes the show!Actually I admire your patience with some of these callers especially after those late games which seem to bring out all the inebriated maroons(sorry if that sounds derogatory).I also thought the way you delt with Stan's call tonight was handled like a pro!Maybe after a late game and a few Pils I'll gather up the gumption to give you a call LOL!Keep up the great work :-)
Oh I almost forgot Animals Nickleback
Dave
Dang! C beat me to the lyrics!Oh well maybe I can have an "honorable mention" :-)
Dave
Hey Joe;
Sportsline was great as always. It was nice to be able to hear from players as guests.
As for the post game show on Friday that is history now and people need to move on.
I'm not a real fan of road courses in NASCAR, but the Infineon track is kind of cool. In some parts it's almost like watching a short track race.
Not sure if you got to see the Indy Car race from Newton, Iowa on Sunday. It's the track that Rusty Wallace built and does it ever look nice.
I have worked in Newton and surrounding area and they are huge NASCAR fans, so maybe someday in the future they will be able to host a Cup race.I think they are trying to at least secure a Busch race.
The track has really boosted the economy there which needed a helping hand with Maytag pulling out.
Say hi to Jo and take care.
Phil
Okay...I've been scratching my head here and give up. Who the hec was Turtles?
Phil
C
Correct.
Rod I believe looks at the comments here, so I am sure he will see.
Dave
"honorable mention" it is :-)
Thank you. And please do call some night, I look forward to it.
Phil
Thank you. Moving on :-) I did not see the race from Newton but I will have to check it out. I have really become a road course fan (nascar that is) over the last # of years, it is indeed short track like at times. I do enjoy watching 43 of them on that track at one time. Imagine 43 Indy cars!! Busch in Quebec should be interesting, i am thinking road trip :-)I beleive Milts nickname is "The Turtle Man" at least I think it is. I forgot "Murder" as well.
Joe
Oh ya that now rings a Bell with Milt.
I have a different name for him though... :-))
